On July 23rd, DeepRec.ai Social had the pleasure of hosting a breakfast networking opportunity for Deep Tech founders and leaders. Thank you to everyone who joined us in Zurich to make our morning special. We held a series of lightning talks, providing a comprehensive look at the current and future state of AI.

We covered:

Fatima Taki
Fatima is currently the head of the center of excellence for AI at Netcetera, a leading software company, headquartered in Zürich, where she leads the strategy and execution of valuable AI initiatives.
Fatima has 10+ years of project and portfolio management experience combined, and 7+ years of product management and strategic marketing experience in healthcare.

She has a background in life sciences, with a long research experience in the field of Neurosciences and ophthalmic genetic diseases, and an extensive experience in the medical device sector and healthcare broadly.

Renu Ann Joseph
Dr. Renu Ann Joseph is an entrepreneur/economist/data scientist with over two decades of global collective experience in different industries. She has spent nearly a decade in insurance and is currently raising a Venture Capital Fund. In the last seven years, she has moved from corporate to being an entrepreneur where she has spun out 2 ventures and 2 podcasts.
Her insurtech, Luminant Analytics is focused on improving insurance pricing for US trucking insurance lines by using external data. Her Data Science & AI center of excellence helps companies that are not primarily driven, to use data more effectively using AI and Data science techniques and education. Her passion for Diversity in Innovation led her to co-create and co-host, Innovation UnderCover, which highlights the unheard voices of innovation. Currently, she hosts a podcast called the Innovation Odyssey Podcast, which focuses on entrepreneurs who are global citizens. Her keen interest in technologies is reflected in her varied data analytics backgrounds which cover statistics and economics to quantum computing.

Dr. Andree Welker
Andree is a seasoned CTO with over a decade of experience in leading top-tier technology and business initiatives, managing diverse teams in AI, Blockchain, Cloud Computing, Physics, and Robotics. He has held pivotal roles at CODOS, PREEN, and CERN, driving innovation and achieving significant cost reductions. Andree has collaborated with leading technology companies and boasts a robust network across various sectors. He holds a Doctorate from CERN and has completed executive programs at Harvard, Wharton, and Stanford. Andree is also an accomplished speaker and author with multiple patents and research papers.

Eleni Verteouri
Eleni Verteouri is an AI Tech Lead and Director at UBS with over a decade of impactful work in model development. As an AI guest lecturer at ETH Zurich and ZHAW School of Management and Law, and a mentor at the Tenity Startup Incubator, Eleni has made significant contributions to shaping modern financial technologies. Her achievements have been recognized with the Forbes Cyprus 20 Women in Tech Award 2024. She holds a Master of Science in Quantitative Finance from ETH Zurich and a Master of Engineering in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Patras.
